Students at Lakewood can participate in theatre as performers, technicians, designers, or leaders. Opportunities exist throughout the year through productions, classes, festivals, and special events, with options for students who are new to theatre as well as those with significant experience.
Theatre courses at Lakewood provide structured, hands-on training in performance and production. Students can progress from introductory classes to advanced acting, technical theatre, and IB Theatre, building skills that support both academic and extracurricular involvement.
Lakewood High School’s International Thespian Society Troupe 1697 recognizes students for their commitment and participation in theatre. Members gain access to conferences, festivals, leadership opportunities, and additional ways to engage with the broader theatre community.
